  • Hogan Lovells The Colmore Building, 20 Colmore Circus Queensway Birmingham, England, B4 6AT United Kingdom (map)

Join us as we explore the opportunities and strategy behind Birmingham 2022 as we began to prepare for the second city hosting the Commonwealth Games.

We will be joined by two speakers:

Cllr Ian Ward leads on the Commonwealth Games 2022 strategy and the city in a stage of huge growth, we will hear more from him about where he sees the City growing and both the opportunities and challenges ahead.  With the real estate sector experiencing a boom and the litany of tower cranes across the sky, it will be a great opportunity to hear from the Leader of Birmingham City Council on the City’s journey ahead.

Birmingham-born Sarah-Jane Perry, a professional squash player who represents England and Great Britain won Commonwealth Silver at the 2018 Gold Coast Games.  Her early career saw her crowned European Junior Champion in 2009, British National Champion in 2015 and World Team Champion in 2014.

Sarah-Jane Perry holds over 50 England Caps and will talk about her sporting experiences, preparing for the Commonwealth Games in her home city and diversity in sport.
